This notice explains what happens to your details when you join the Championship Fantasy mailing list. It's deliberately short, because we collect very little.
Championship Fantasy is an independent project run by [YOUR NAME OR BUSINESS NAME], based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at [YOUR CONTACT EMAIL].
When you sign up through the form on our homepage, we collect:
That's everything. We don't ask for anything else, and we don't run advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this page.
We use your email address to tell you when Championship Fantasy opens for squad selection, and to send occasional updates about the game — roughly monthly at most. We use your name to address those emails to you, and the club you support to understand which fanbases we're reaching so we know where to focus.
Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you ticked the box on the signup form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at [YOUR CONTACT EMAIL] and ask to be removed, and we'll do it without asking why.
Your details are stored using our hosting and email providers, who process the data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with any other third party.
We keep your details until you unsubscribe, or until you ask us to delete them. If Championship Fantasy doesn't go ahead, we'll delete the list.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw your consent, and to object to how we use it. Email us and we'll deal with it within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
